Spray Tanning Aftercare and Advice

- Complete all hair removal at least 24 hours prior to your spray tan

- Exfoliate thoroughly before your spray tan, concentrating on dry areas; the elbows, knees and feet.

- Do not use any moisturising products on the day of the treatment (be careful with shower products as they may contain moisturisers or oils)

- Avoid Make up and perfumed products such as deodorant, perfume and body sprays on day of spray tan as this may may discolour or block your tan.

- It’s up to you what to wear for your tan. You can wear you own underwear/ swimwear/ hot pants, whatever you feel comfortable in (dark or old garments are best as the tan may stain them) alternativly I can provide disposable underwear or you are welcome to go topless/ naked if you dont want tanlines.

- Having a Spray Tan when pregnant or during menstruation may result in a patchy tan due to hormones.ay discolour or block your tan.

- Wear loose clothing and shoes  (a dressing gown or loose pyjamas are fine) so as not to get any smudges or rubs from tight waistbands etc.

- You can sleep in your tan before washing it off if you wish. The guide tan will come off on your sheets but it should wash out. Try and wear some old loose pyjamas and avoid touching your face etc during the night. (hard I know!)

- Avoid all water, rain, showers - this means no washing up ladies, yay! - as this will cause your tan to run! If you need

a drink remember to sip gently or use a straw so it doesn’t wash the tan from around your mouth. No-one wants a pale top lip!

- Leave the tan alone for at least 6 hours after which time you can shower. The guide tan will wash off leaving a natural and even color, to remove the guide tan lightly wash away the product, avoid rubbing and pat dry. Some colour may wash off but this is just the guide tan.

- Once out of the shower Pat dry - do not rub

- Avoid long soaks in the bath or swimming/ hot tubs (it will fade quicker) and make sure the water is not too hot as it will strip the tan faster.

- Apply a water based (not oil based) moisturiser daily to ensure the life of your tan, this will help it last longer, and fade more evenly and smoothly.

- Avoid exercising often or large amount of sweating can cause your tan to fade faster, especially in body fold areas.

- Avoid waxing unwanted hair or depilatory hair removal products as this will strip the tan in those areas

-After the 2nd day of your tan begin to gently exfoliate to ensure an even fade

- Avoid exercising until the guide tan is removed ( sweating will result in a lighter colour result.

- Avoid harsh products that may reduce the life of your tan such as any oil based products or bleaching products.
